INFESTATIO Releases EP "ETHE:REAL" and Explores Complex Human Duality

Thrash metal band from Jundiaí (SP) releases 5 tracks that delve into the concepts of how society hides its flaws; EP is now available on all streaming platforms.

Thrash metal band INFESTATIO has announced the release of its latest work, the EP "ETHE:REAL". The material, already available on all the main streaming platforms, delves into a deep concept about human duality, packed with the heavy, fast and direct sound that has marked the band's trajectory since 2000.

The concept of the EP "ETHE:REAL" confronts the human tendency to mask reality. "We deal with duality, where we often give different names to the same things in order to 'seem like better people' or 'hide our flaws', but in the end, everything is always clear and evident," explains the band. This idea is visually represented in the cover artwork, created by bassist Cristiano Dafré.

Musically, the EP solidifies INFESTATIO's identity. With clear influences from 80s Thrash Metal, the band remains faithful to its initial proposal of focusing on "PESO", but always flirting with other ideas and concepts.

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION (TECHNICAL SHEET):

"ETHE:REAL" is an independent release produced by Rafael Neves and co-produced by Cristiano Dafré and Gabriel Wintter. The guitar and bass recordings were made in the band's home studio (INFESTATIO HQ), and the vocals were captured in the JARDIM ELÉTRICO studio, both in Jundiaí/SP. The mixing was done by Rafael Neves, and the mastering was done by Fabio Germano (AuraMusicBR). The cover was designed by bassist and vocalist Cristiano Dafré.

About INFESTATIO:

Formed in the early 2000s, INFESTATIO collects releases that are well received by the specialized media, such as the EP "F.Y.A." (2013) and the single "Jeff" (2017). In 2020, the group released their debut album, "Unleashed The End", which featured special guest appearances, including Fernanda Lira (Crypta, ex-Nervosa). With the new EP, the band consolidates its new line-up and prepares for new shows.
