CORROSIVE NAILS dives into the shadows of Death/Thrash Metal with their debut "Fragments Of A Broken Faith”

With a physical release via Lambrequim Records, "Fragments Of A Broken Faith" marks a new phase for CORROSIVE NAILS in Brazilian extreme metal.

The Santa Catarina-based band CORROSIVE NAILS, a leading exponent of extreme metal hailing from Canoinhas (SC), announces the release of its highly anticipated first full-length album: "Fragments Of A Broken Faith. " Combining the rawness of traditional Death Metal with the aggression of Thrash and dark experimentation, the album marks the consolidation of the quartet’s identity on the national scene.

The Process and the Partnership

Recorded independently in Canoinhas between October 2023 and early 2025, the album is the result of a meticulous process. The extended production time reflects the band’s dedication to overcoming logistical challenges to deliver material that would do justice to their new phase. Production, mixing, and mastering were handled by Lucas Rafalski, a longtime collaborator who successfully captured the band’s organic and heavy essence.

The visual aesthetic, a crucial element for the album’s atmosphere, was conceived by Marcelo Almeida (The Darkside Art), translating the desolation contained in the album’s eight tracks into images.

Sound and Theme: Beyond the Cliché

Although Death Metal forms the foundation, CORROSIVE NAILS does not limit itself to ready-made formulas. On "Fragments Of A Broken Faith," the listener will find passages that flirt with Doom Metal, Black Metal, and even nuances of Shoegaze, lending a necessary modernity to the sound.

Lyrically, the album is a journey through dense and varied themes:

Social Criticism: Mental exhaustion and oppression under the capitalist system, as well as police violence.
Existentialism: The search for meaning in tracks like "Void. "
Culture and Horror: Homages to the classic Evil Dead ("Within The Woods") and reflections on human nature based on the Stanford Prison Experiment ("Lucifer FX").
